UDAI DAIRY HERD MONITOR:

It is a tool patented by GOI in the late nineties. This can be put to use by all big Dairies having more than 100 t0 500 animals in production or அட் any other place wherein a group of animals are monitored for breeding and production activities such that of a project like PROGENY TESTING/ ACCREDITED HERD / VILLAGE MILK CO OP SOCIETY / MILITARY FARM etc.

The tool (UDH MONITOR) can be operated even by uneducated farmer/a handicapped person /any member of a dairy society after an initial training. This tool acts as a manual computer to see at a glance the various stages of breeding of all dairy cattle starting from the zero day- namely date of calving to the next delivery of another calf. The thousands of breeding activities of all animals (say 500 *10= 5000) can all be preplanned date-wise and displayed in a circular calendar so that the farm manager can monitor every single operation need to be performed for each and every animal in the herd on a daily basis.

By using UDH Monitor, a lowest inter calving period and shortest dry period can be achieved for the entire herd thereby achieving the two major economic indicators of successful and profitable dairying.This tool can also be used to get all the data base entered permanently in the computer for future reference as well by developing a simple and useful software.
