Sustainability means a lot to the marginalised and neglected lots of all third world poor countries where billions live with <$1 a day income .It is all bacause of rapidly deteorating and depleting national/NATURAL resoures like water , soil and air the three basic elelments of mother planet eart WHICH REMAINED PURE AND WHOLESOME FROM TIME IMMEMMORIAL TILL 20 TH CENTUARY....By way of intensification of every thing ,every activity of human beings ,all those deterioration happened especially in the past 20 th centuary in the name of growth ,development and wealth creation by the wealthy developed nations...
At whose cost?
Who should take all blames?
Who should take all the cost of repairing/replenishing/reinducting all the damages/depletion /deterioraion created on planet- mother earth and its gullible, innocent people who take all the wrath on themselves in breathing the highly polluted air, in drinking the highly piosoned water and consuming al the foods grown on highly chmicalized soil!
Where is the day when "all things big and beautiful" that existed on planet earth would come back to have a peaceful life on earth? That is the 'D'day of fully sustainable mother earth and all women on it!

Whither Killer Agriculture?
Everyone is aware of the fact that in today’s agriculture and food crop’s production especially horticulture produces like fruits and vegetables, a lot of residual carcinogenic chemicals remain in them. And by consuming these food crops, the medical fraternity warns often that a number of dangerous diseases including incurable cancers are caused to the consuming public. The Govt.’s testing laboratories point out the alarming levels of these residual poisonous chemicals available in these food materials. Only the other day, a poor farmer aged about 55 years near Madurai in Vadipatti village died immediately after consuming a raw green Bhendi (ladies finger), and some 15 other people of the same village were also admitted to G.H. along with him for intensive treatment. Indeed very shocking news! Who is responsible for this death!
Whether the Agri. Dept.’s officials who had permitted the sale of the all banned chemical pesticides are going to take moral responsibility and accountability for this and resign their jobs? Similarly in another such incident a rose flower like tender girl of 12 years died after consuming some raw freshly plucked rose petals. Horrible!
So don’t ever believe if someone says, "It is good to eat raw uncooked natural foods like roses or ladies fingers"! If these things are grown in a natural organic manner it is good, otherwise it’s deadly!
It is untrue if we still believe that by washing or rinsing vegetables thoroughly in water after removal of its skin or by thorough boiling or deep-frying, these deadly chemicals is removed and so they are safe to eat! These deadly chemical pesticides, which are sprayed on these vegetables and fruits, are of the nature of penetrating into them and they are removable only by boiling at a temperature of 300 degree centigrade! These chemicals’ penetrating nature is lesser in small grains and other leguminous crops like pulses compared to vegetables and fruits! Even then a poison is a poison only!
What we use in today’s agriculture, chlorinated hydrocarbons, organophosphates, carbonates, and leithare, Thanites ect. Which are the banned chemical components! What to say about our foolishness of importing at the cost of crores of rupees every year an array of these banned killer chemicals?
Now, our people are slowly turning their attention towards Ayurvedic and Siddha medicines for their health and well being! Some Ayurvedic medicines are now becoming popular even in Vety.practices! Traditional medicines are always popular in villages even today! A lot of Ayurvedic natural plant protection methods are described in Surapalai’s Vriksha Ayurveda of 10 Th century! Many of the organic farmers prepare for themselves certain plant protective pesticides and fungicides to kill the insects, microbial pests, fungi and moulds!
How is it appropriate to term these killer chemicals as ‘plant protective’ ones as they are sprayed on young plants and thereby killing lives?
Although many TN farmers are returning to natural organic farming, most of their attention is only on cash crops like sugarcane, banana, paddy, lemon, mangoes and coconut! A very few of these organic farmers have shown interest in vegetable and horticultural crops! The advices of Sri. Natesan, a true Gandhian and the managing trustee of the GOVARDHAN trust, is worth paying attention for adherence in this matter! He is helping to provide in GOSHALAS all care and attention of those deserted cows, which are sent across the TN borders to Kerala state for butchering! He renders this services legally under Acts like SPCA/ prevention or ban on cow slaughter by stopping their migration and taking hold of these deserted animals with the help of BHARAT KISAN SABHA! By utilization of the dung, urine and other products of these Goshala- animals ‘Panchakavya’ and ‘Vermicompost’ are manufactured by the Goshalas to help promote organic farming! Mr.Natesan also advocates the adoption of the landless/marginalized/small farmers to be employed on organic production of vegetable/horticultural products by those large /medium farmers interested in organic cultivation. Similarly many of the NGOs involved in agricultural issues should also adopt farmers for cultivating organic produces! Mr.Natesan willingly helps free of cost the supply of cows necessary for organic manure production! The emerging danger of ‘sacrificing our human lives’ for today’s’ killer chemical based agriculture’ will be highest if we do not raise the level of production of organic vegetables and horticulture crops by adhering to Mr.Natesan’s advices like NGOs or rich /big farmers with relatively better facilities of irrigation adopting the small/marginal/landless labourers for organic farming ventures!
The perpetrators/abettors /vicariously liable authorities of today’s’ killer- chemical-Agriculture viz. the Govt. Agri. Dept.’s officials – may attribute lame excuses of lesser or scarce availability of organic manure. For these, the so-called dung cattle (the meek ND cows sent across State border for butchering) are the only answer! Even though the Animal Welfare Board have the authority to pay a sum of Rs.10/ per animal towards fodder expenses in such Goshalas’ maintenance, due to mega-fodder scams of persons like Mr.Lalloo Prasad Yadav, such money becomes not payable to farmers/Goshalas in TN who maintain such rescued slaugtherable cows! There are lot of funds available as import subsidy for Naphtha (for fertilizer production) and other killer chemicals (in the name of plant protection chemicals) but alas! there is no money for maintaining these valuable cows which help saving human- lives by providing organic natural agri. products .By a keen analysis of the EXIM policy of the ‘scams-addicted rulers’ of Govt., one can easily observe, how deep–rooted is their ‘inherent looting–philosophy’.
There is export demand for all those good things available in our soil –herbal plants, vegetables, small grains, pulses which are free from residual chemical substances but what we import in return is all those killer chemicals (fertilizer, pesticides) to poison our lives –So no wonder India ranks first among the third world countries in this poisonous trade! Every day it has become very common to see at least 100 dying among our 100 billion populations by consuming poison-ridden food materials. No one seems to be bothered of this gruesome reality!
Although our Vermicompost is produced in thousands of places in TN, all of them goes to the production of Kerala state’s chemical-free organic cardamom that are meant for only export. Instead of sending these organic manure for exportable cardamom, they should be used for cultivation of vegetables which can be sold in our organic products’ stalls keeping in mind our peoples’ health and well being!
We shouldn’t allow anymore this ‘killer-agriculture’ to continue in our country!
